August 2008 will see the Houses of Parliament open its doors and play host to the 9th Annual Summer Opening. This provides visitors with an opportunity to walk the corridors of power and get a real sense of the atmosphere within this unique building. The Palace of Westminster is split into three distinct yet connected components – the Royal Apartments, The House of Lords and The House of Commons, the 75 minutes tour takes visitors through each of these fascinating areas. Tours depart at 2.45pm or 3.00pm.
