Globe Theatre, London Bridge & Southwark
No of Holiday Reviews in this Destination - 325
Located within walking distance of the City and the West End, London Bridge & Southwark are the ideal base from which to explore London sights such as Southwark Cathedral, the Globe Theatre, Tate Modern and HMS Belfast. Extensive regeneration of the area has resulted in an established restaurant and bar culture, so why not take advantage of trendy, innovative and laid-back dining before spending an evening in Theatreland.

We trtaveled to Uxbridge by car then took the tube to London Bridge. Excelent room in hotel, G05 much roomier than expected. I had not been sent my pack, but hotel phoned superbreak and they arranged for me to pick tickets up at theatre. LB station i think is more accessible than southwark, plus you have the wonderful facilities around LB area, none around Southwark station. Excellant show, Joseph, followed by meal, then sunday round west end shopping before returning home at 1600 hrs. throughly reccommend superbreak bookings

A customer from Weymouth who stayed at 4* Novotel London City South in London Bridge/City wrote this review.
We found the Novotel Southwark Bridge perfect for our short break in London. The bus stop for the Original Tour bus was just a minutes walk away and we enjoyed the walk along th Thames down to the London Eye. Although there was a good choice for breakfast they soon ran out of things and only replaced them when asked. Room was clean and quiet.

It took us two full days, and we even took in a tour around the Globe before hesding home. A terrific weekend, and some lovely photos. Great value meals at the pub next door to the hotel. Excellent choice, and value for money restraunts. in town centre area. Very helpful staff at the Town Centre information desks.

A customer who stayed at 4* Novotel London City South in London Bridge/City wrote this review.
Had a lovely weekend, minus children visting the tutankamun exhibition, which was excellent although I didn't think much of the O2 itself. We used the Thames Clipper service which was a great way to get about and see London from the river. We stayed at Novotel London City South, which is really close to the Globe theatre and Tate Modern as well as only a short walk across the bridge to St Paul's. Would recommend getting an Oyster card for getting around on underground and buses. We ate at Nando's which was lovely and also did lunch at Covent Garden in a place I think called Fuse which was also nice.
