Hotel excellent. Very modern, quiet but still very close to Promenade des Anglais. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Very good breakfast. Excellent trams and buses but we preferred to walk everywhere. Got a taxi to and from the airport. Loved everything about Nice. It is stylish and upmarket but also relaxing. People are very tourist-friendly. We would go back there tomorrow!

Excellent service by Easyjet from Gatwick, excellent weather, excellent Hotel convenient to the centre of Nice and delightful day trips to Cannes and Monaco.

Hotel was disappointing on first sight but the room was clean and the bedding changed every second day and towels every day. The staff were excellent and helped with anything you asked,even to bus numbers and stance. They phoned the police when my sister lost her purse. It was central for everything we wanted to do. We visited Marseille, Antibes, Cannes,Monte Carlo,Monaco and Eze. With no trouble at all.

Excellent five days in Nice, France

The situation of the Mercure Notre Dame Hotel, Nice, France was friendly, comfortable and I would not hesitate to go back! It is centrally located and easily accessible to the station, tram stops and within walking distance of the Promenade de Anglais and old town, etc... The staff were very good indeed, in particular the two bar staff in the top floor bar! the roof top pool was well maintained and I could certainly recommend. The only fault I could comment on, was the slightly dingy carpeting in the entrance hall to our room, however the bedroom carpet, bed clothes, towels, bathroom fittings were all spotless. The Shortbreak staff with whom I booked our holiday were very helpful indeed, and would certainly make further reservations through your company. The taxi ordering system in the hotel was not the most satisfactory. There is a taxi stand directly outside the hotel, and if there is not a taxi ther when you require it, they will then telephone for one on your behalf. It is quite a long wait and no-one could actually say how long the wait would be. With a flight to catch at Nice airport, you can understand we were a little anxious while waiting. We paid for the taxi driver to take us to Terminal 2, and as we approached Nice airport, he went right past and deposited us at Terminal 1, from where we had to board a bus, complete with luggage, to take us to Terminal 2. Not very a satisfactory end to our break! just a point, if you hear that this happened to anyone else!

Short Break in Nice

Went to the football in Monaco(European Super Cup) so the location was perfect for the train station. plenty of bars around the hotel and very safe surroundings
