Piccadilly & Leicester Square are home to the most famous landmarks and busiest night-time spots in London. Heavily influenced by the world of entertainment, local attractions include the Criterion Theatre, London Pavilion and major music stores Virgin and HMV. Spend some time in one of the pavement cafes watching the area’s sparkling neon signs illuminate crowds of revellers heading for an evening out in the West End.

Short break in London

A customer from STUDLEY who stayed at 4* The Cavendish London in Mayfair wrote this review.

The Cavendish hotel was excellently located and easy to find. One minus point was that the room was bit small and pokey. We enjoyed an excellent pre-theatre dinner in the hotel restaurant which was good value for money. We had a leisurely stroll through the Royal Parks on our second day ending up at Buckingham Palace before moving on to Covent Garden where the "free" entertainment was excellent as usual. Popped into Fortnum's on our last morning for some festive gifts. Award-winning fish and chip meals in Ullapool ! Mouthwatering smoked haddock omlette at the Shieldaig Inn

Leonard Cohen at The O2

A customer from Superbreak who stayed at 4* The Cavendish London in Mayfair wrote this review.

Nights in London don't come any better than this. I happened to check into The Cavendish the night that Jermyn Street lights were being switched on. I was handed two drinks by rather posh tailors before ever even getting to the hotel My room was superb. I was on the 15th floor with spectacular views over London. I could clearly see The BA London Eye lit up and other famous landmarks. The O2 was an easy tube ride from Green Park station. The concert was sublime. I had heard Leonard Cohen was good, but his show was in a class of its own. If it was on again tonight I would go! Breakfast overlooking Fortnum and Mason was a bit special, and I sneaked in a bit of Christmas shopping before heading home. That night in London scores 10 out of 10.

Wicked Weekend

A customer from Caerfyrddin who stayed at 4* The Cavendish London in Mayfair wrote this review.

Overnight break in London to see the show Wicked. Travelled from South Wales to London via train - Comfortable and fast. Beautiful Autumn day - took advantage of this by walking to Hotel via Hydepark & Greenpark.Lots to see on the way. The show Wicked was fantastic - only surprise was that there are two Apollo theatres, one in Shaftsbury Ave. the other in Victoria. Good job we allowed ourselves plenty of time as we had not looked at the tickets properly and assumed we were going to Shaftsbury Avenue - mad dash via tube to Victoria- arrived there in good time for a light supper and were in our allocated seats 15 min before show started. Excellent tickets - Excellent hotel - staff and facilities first class - Breakfast delicious with plenty of choice. Very, very relaxing weekend even though in the heart of London.
