The town of Pitlochry retains a strong Victorian atmosphere whilst offering modern attractions, including the popular Pitlochry Dam and Fish Ladder. The surrounding countryside is stunning and steeped in history including a 1400 year old church and the sculptured, Pictish, Dunfallandy Stone.

Perfect Pitlochry

A customer who stayed at 3* Scotland's Hotel (2 Night Wine & Dine Offer) in Pitlochry wrote this review.

We go for the walking. There are fantasic walks, all marked out and easy to follow. Get a list from the local tourist information office. We stayed in Scotland's Hotel. Our room had a view of the hills, nice to wake up to. The refurbished rooms are really tastefully done and the new pool/fitness area is lovely. The sauna and jacuzzi helped ease those tired legs. We were on a wine/dine break and the food was delicious. Fresh and well cooked to order. The sea bass with mango salsa was really tasty.

weekend at scotlands hotel in Pitlochry

A customer from Lanarkshire who stayed at 3* Scotland's Hotel (2 Night Wine & Dine Offer) in Pitlochry wrote this review.

On the whole it was a great weekend. The hotel was comfortable and very efficiently run. The food for the amount we paid was good. The spa was small but perfectly formed - a nice way to relax away from the dreadful weather. It's in a lovely area and we enjoyed a bit of walking and a bit of shopping. I have to say I was very very disappointed with my "enchanted forest" visit. I realise something has to be done to attract tourists in the autumn and winter but the whole trip was just a licience to print money.I must have paid £13 or £14 (ticket plus booking fee) for a 4 min drive each way and a short walk round a small loch! Pity there wasn't some entertainment at night - none in the hotel or local pubs. A fiddler or two wouldn't have gone a miss.

freedom

A customer from Menstrie who stayed at 3* Scotland's Hotel (2 Night Wine & Dine Offer) in Pitlochry wrote this review.

My partner and I had a weekend of total freedom. We enjoyed the hotel itself and the pleasant helpful staff but also the location alowed us to experience lovely walks and drives to other places of interest. I can't wait to go back again......but with 11 kids between us, work comitments etc.....it will take a bit of arranging....sigh!!!! anyway it was a heavenly weekend. ;)
