The 'Battle of the Fireworks' in Plymouth is an annual event that local people manage to keep secret. Held over 2 nights, the massive free displays showcase the best the British firewoks industry can offer. People gather on the Hoe, and surrounding cliffs and watch spellbound as one fantastic display after another lights up the August sky. This event should be as famous as the Blackpool iluminations!
