From the opening number you can't help but feel pulled along by the sheer enthusiasm of the cast complementing wonderful songs by Queen. The stage sets are just right in setting the context for each part of the story, which, while somewhat far-fetched, still entertain and engage the audience completely. The use of multi-media enhances the story and link to the lyrics which are all executed with brilliance by the cast. Knowing characters have differing players, for our performance it seemed the lead actor had too much of an American accent, but while this was noticeable, never annoyed. It would be unfair to criticise anyone more than that, for each person played their part in making the whole experience truly entertaining and engaging. For sure, in these times of negative news, recession and downturn, 'We Will Rock You' is a spirited antidote. I defy anyone not to enjoy the show and indeed, like me and my family, not to end up standing up and joining in with most of the songs. We would willingly go again and recommend the show to friends and colleagues alike.

A fitting tribute to a truly epic rock band, I was completely immersed in the music. The plot was a bit spurious in places, but then this is pure entertainment, not highbrow drama. The female lead was excellent, however, there seemed to be problems with the male leads microphone at times which was a minor dent in an otherwise champion production.

Thanks again for organising this, we had a fun time. This was the third time my partner Ian has seen the show, and each time he has enjoyed it quite a bit. It's been 6 years since he saw it last, and he thought that the jokes had been updated to make the show more current. He is a big queen fan and also a fan of the post-apocalyptic fiction genre, so this show is a real winner for him on both counts. This was my first time seeing this show, and I had a fun time too. As a queen fan myself, I enjoyed the music and the live musical arrangement, but was less impressed with the story. The theatre was very nice, the seats were comfortable, and we had a good view of the stage. But if I am 100% honest with you, I was disappointed with the lack of blocking and dance choreography. One or two of the songs were sung by completely motionless performers, and those parts of the show tended to drag a bit. Additionally, there were some very funny bits of dialogue, like with the motorcycle character Pop in some of the closing scenes, but they just didn't get laughs they should have. I don't know if it was the material itself, or the delivery of the lines. It's a tough one, my partner would recommend this show to others without hesitation. While I enjoyed the opportunity to see the show, I would probably not recommend it to others unless they were enthusiastic Queen fans. I feel very bad giving a negative review like this, but I hope that it is appreciated for its balance and honesty.

A thoroughly enjoyable show. The storyline by Ben Elton, as cheesy and nonsensical as it seemed at times, worked rather well in the futuristic/totalitarian backdrop. Queen's massive back catalogue provides a tune for every occasion and it all gels well with the plot. Anyway, show is all about music and fun, and it delivers on both fronts. Cast displayed excellent vocal capabilities, and I was very glad that no one tried to imitate Freddie but delivered each number in a personal, solid and professional manner. Dance routines were very well rehearsed; the set did take us to the grim future, and the giant video-screens added to the feel of a rock concert. If you like your Queen, if you like your rock, if you like your music loud - then this show is definitely for you!

The ingenuity of the writer combined with the act itself was mesmerising. Having grown up with rock and having missed it so much in recent years due to the X Factor era, as they justifiably call it, I was so involved in the music that at times it sent shivers down my spine. I struggled to suppress my desire to empty my lungs singing along as often as I would have wanted (luckily I did not have a drink beforehand, otherwise I most definitely would have). Freddie would have been very proud!
