Take a fascinating trip behind the scenes at one of the world's most famous pottery companies. Hands on activities such as throwing your own pot or painting your own plate are available. Or why not watch the experts in action - craft artisans regularly demonstrate their skills.
The award winning tour allows visitors to enjoy the entire experience at their own pace. Having seen how products are made, you can have a go at making them yourself on either the potter's wheel or with paint and brush. What you make we can finish and post to your home as a unique souvenir of your visit. Other hands on activities such as throwing your own pot or painting your own plate are available in the demonstration area where individual craft artisans demonstrate their skills including Coalport painter, Jewellery Maker, Hand painter and Flower Maker. Add to this a superb restaurant, exhibition areas, film theatre and an exclusive Wedgwood shop, the Wedgwood Visitor Centre offers an all inclusive day for everyone.
Wedgwood celebrates its 250th anniversary in 2009, And to mark this milestone, a series of celebrations are being planned to draw together the heritage, history, art and activities that have helped to make Wedgwood a household name for luxury since the 18th century. Special events will give visitors old and new the chance to join in this unique anniversary.
